Prof. Maina Wagacha the Director, Intellectual Property Management is a distinguished Plant Pathologist and Associate Professor at the University of Nairobi, Kenya. His expertise lies in mycotoxin research, plant health management, and standards regulatory compliance. He holds a PhD in Plant Pathology from the University of Bonn, Germany, and has post-doctoral training from the University of Hohenheim, Germany, and George Mason University, USA. Prof. Wagacha has mentored over 40 post-graduate students and co-authored 89 peer-reviewed articles. His research has been pivotal in developing aflatoxin management standards with the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) and has advanced food safety and market access for Kenyan agriculture
