Prof. Fatuma Some is a consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital and Associate Professor of Internal Medicine, Moi University School of Medicine, Eldoret, Kenya with vast experience in clinical care and related research. She is an investigator at the Moi University Clinical Research Centre where she has been involved in several multicentre HIV clinical trials.
Her research interests are in Hepatitis B, HBV/HIV co-infection, Hepatocellular carcinoma, Oesophageal cancer and other gastrointestinal malignancies. Her cancer research has been through global collaborations and multidisciplinary approaches focusing on risk factor identification.
