Gabriel Kigen

Gabriel Kigen is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at Moi
University School of Medicine with extensive experience in Clinical Pharmacology,
and Therapeutics. He holds an undergraduate Degree in Pharmacy from the
University of Nairobi and a PhD in Pharmacology & Therapeutics from the
University of Liverpool, UK.

He is extensively involved in research and has played significant roles in research and clinical trials in Kenya, serving as an investigator in multiple international studies, including HIV, oncology, mental health, mpox and maternal-fetal health.

He has contributed to major global research collaborations
and has published widely in several peer-reviewed journals. His main research
works include Oncology, Personalized Medicine, Nanomedicine, and Neuropsychiatric
genetics of African Populations, Maternal-fetal medicine, Vaccine development, and
Ethnomedicine.

His Oncology research has mainly focused on Hepatocellular
carcinoma, and HIV related cancers. Outside academia, Prof. Kigen has also served
as a Board Member of the Kenya Health Human Resource Advisory Council
(KHHRAC), a state corporation tasked with providing a centralized coordinating
Mechanism for healthcare human resources.
